Is The Youthy Flasher safe to use?
The Youthy Flasher is an extremely safe and effective method for hair removal at home and in clinics.

How does the Youthy Flasher work?

The Youthy Flasher uses an advance flash pulsed light technology that’s emitted to target the Melanin cells in your hair (the cells are responsible for giving your hair color). These pigment cells are heated by the intense light, which in turn damages the follicle of the hair enough to retard future growth.

Why does the Youthy Flasher turn off sometimes?

The Youthy Flasher is designed to turn off if it is getting to hot. It is a good idea to let it cool down after long periods of use. Once it cools a little bit, you can start treatment again.

Does the Youthy Flasher hurt to use?

One of the biggest advantages to our flash technology over other types of laser is that it is far less painful. Most customers explain the feeling as a warm sensation on the skin. The Youthy Flasher has 5 power settings for even the most sensitive skin.

Sometimes you’ll feel some irritation up to an hour after treatment with redness around the hair shaft depending on the sensitivity of your skin. Pain is subjective, with tolerances varying – however nearly everyone who uses this product that has really sensitive skin describes the discomfort as real light, tolerable at worst. Most cases it is not painful on most skin types.

Different Body Parts can bother you more than others,
bony areas (such as your shins or ankles, for example) will be a lot more sensitive than spots with a little more cushion to them (like your calf). That’s because skin closest to the bone is thinner, but it doesn’t mean that hair is more difficult to treat.

What are the 5 Energy Levels for?
Useful for building up to correct power setting that’s suitable for your skin type. ​ The unit has a maximum 5 power output.

Do I need to wear eye protection?

We always recommend wearing eye protection when using the Youthy Flasher. However, Our device does have a sensor and will not flash light unless the entire window is pressed against your skin. When the Youthy Flasher is pressed firmly against the skin the light is generally covered and is safe. Never look directly into the light as it flashes, it could cause damage to your eyes.

How long will it take before I start seeing results?
Most customers begin to notice a reduction of hair after just 3-4 treatments, with complete results after 12 treatments. However, results vary from person to person depending upon the color of their hair and skin.

How long should I spend on each area?

Once I complete the cycle will my hair be permanently gone?
Depending upon your skin and hair type, you’ll likely need touch-ups every so often afterward which is the same for laser hair removal done by a clinic. If you notice a stray leg hair growing a year after treatment, it means that either the follicle’s natural growth cycle wasn’t finished or the hair was too fine for the laser to target. Just flash the hair that pop up every once in a while, and you’ll be good to go.

How often do I need to use it?
We recommend using your handset once a week for the first 12 weeks. After this period use your handset once a month, for 3 months or until satisfied. To maintain hairless smooth skin, use your handset once every 2 to 3 months, or as needed. If for any reason your skin needs more rest, it is ok to go every 2 weeks between uses, it will just take more time to complete the 8 to 12 weeks.

How many years will the Youthy Flasher last?
Our amazing Youthy Flasher has one of the highest flash counts for a home device, 400,000 flashes, which can last up to 20 years if used as directed. How strong is this product and what is the energy output?

Our Youthy Flasher uses a 40w quarts lens which is very high quality flash lens allowing you an extreme amount of flashes before having to replace it.

Which areas of my body can I use this on?
You can use your handset on your entire body, including your Bikini and face (just be sure to not get too close to your eyes). Use different power settings for more sensitive areas.

Do I need to shave before using this product?

Yes, you should shave before using the Youthy Flasher. If you have waxed, you must wait at least a month before using the Youthy Flasher.

Can I wax before starting treatment?
you shouldn’t wax for at least a month before treatment, since a treatment typically removes the root of the hair (and the laser needs to be able to find that to effectively remove it)

Which hair removal methods can I use between treatments?
Between treatments we recommend only shaving when required. You should never pluck, wax, or epilate as these hair removal methods removes the entire root, which is what absorbs the light during the treatment.

Does the handset come with a warranty?
Yes, our Youthy Flasher comes with a 1 year warranty. Please see our warrant page for more.

How is the handset powered?
The Youthy Flasher comes with a 12V power supply.

Can I use this product before or after tanning?
You should wait 48 hours to tan after using your handset. If you have recently been tanning, we recommend waiting 2 weeks before using your Youthy Flasher. Also do not use artificial tanning on your skin while using your Youthy Flasher.

Are there any reoccurring costs?
Unlike other cheaper devices on the market that do not have replaceable lenses, meaning you have to buy a whole new device once their flash runs out costing you hundreds. The Youthy Flasher lens can last up to 20 years and then you just simpley change the lens.

Does the Youthy Flasher work for all skin tones?

The Youthy Flasher can be used on most skin types except real dark skin. Please open our description tab to see skin and hair color chart.

Does the Youthy Flasher work for all hair colors?
The flash technology relies on melanin in the hair absorbing the light energy, and therefore the flash is not effective on very light blonde, red, or grey colored hair. See our color chart on the descriptions tab.

Is it safe use the Youthy Flasher over freckles or moles?
Light Freckles should be fine, however try to avoid using the Youthy Flasher over very dark freckles or moles,

Is it safe use the Youthy Flasher while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There is no evidence showing that our Youthy Flasher has negative effects on pregnant or breastfeeding women, we still don’t recommend using our device as a precaution.
